Chenzhi-Changan Successfully Trial Ultra-Large Mg E-Drive Housing w/ Corrosion/Creep Resistant
Recently, Chenzhi Lightweight, in collaboration with Changan Automobile, the academician team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Aiersi, successfully trial-produced an ultra-large corrosion-resistant and creep-resistant magnesium alloy electric drive housing at the Aiersi production base.
Strong Alliance Overcomes Core Technical Challenges of Electric Drive Housings
In this project, Chenzhi Lightweight served as the coordination hub, efficiently integrating resources from the four parties: it aligned with Changan Automobile’s vehicle integration requirements to define performance indicators and engineering boundaries; partnered with the academician team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University to develop a new high-strength, corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy material formulation; and collaborated with Aiersi to commission large-scale die-casting equipment and optimize process parameters. This ultimately established a complete “demand-development-manufacturing-validation” chain.

CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2026
Chenzhi Lightweight will exhibit at Asia's largest specialized die-casting and non-ferrous exhibition—CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2026 (Shanghai New International Expo Center, Halls N1-N4) from July 15-17, 2026, at Booth N4F11 (Magnesium Alloy Casting Zone). Under the theme "Twin Engines: Al & Mg, A Lightweight Future", this edition is expected to span 50,000+ square meters, feature 600+ exhibitors, and attract 28,000 professional visitors.
The previous edition of CHINA DIECASTING attracted 585 renowned exhibitor brands and 24,832 professional visitors for business exchanges. Among them, over a hundred enterprises representing the magnesium alloy industry chain were present, including LK, Waffer, KaShui, EON, Baowu Magnesium, JSW, Yizumi, Haitian, Frech, and BOLE. The exhibition comprehensively covered mainstream magnesium alloy casting processes, such as high-pressure die casting and rheocasting, as well as the entire industrial chain from raw materials, equipment, and molds to foundries, making it one of the most attention-grabbing highlights on site.
The 2026 exhibition will further expand this focus, with Hall N4 serving as the core theme pavilion. Centered around the magnesium alloy theme, it will feature special events including the "Magnesium Alloy Casting Central Display Area," the "Magnesium Casting Cutting-edge Solution Zone," the "Magnesium Castings Award and Ceremony," the "Expert-led Tech Tour - Magnesium Casting Line," and the "Magnesium Castings Supply-Demand Matchmaking Meeting." Enterprises and professionals from the global die-casting and non-ferrous casting industry chain are welcome to visit for exchange and cooperation.

- Joint Commissioning: Efficient Transition from Trial to Mass Production
Cross-team on-site debugging, utilizing a 4,000-ton large die-casting machine to optimize forming process parameters for the ultra-large housing; establishing a real-time data sharing and rapid issue response mechanism to solve core process challenges such as shrinkage porosity and dimensional accuracy deviations.
