Taking Lightweighting Further: Magnesium Alloy In All Dimensions Molding Technology and Solutions
From automotive lightweighting to precision structural components in 3C products, the demand for weight reduction has reached unprecedented levels. As aluminum alloys approach their performance limits, magnesium alloys are emerging as the core breakthrough for the next generation of lightweight materials. With over 15 years in die casting machine project management, he focuses on large unit design and development, with extensive expertise in system integration and post-processing. In the TPI magnesium alloy project, he optimized processes and mold design for efficient Mg application, delivering lightweighting, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Currently, he leads application and technical support for large die casting units in automotive Al/Mg structural components, providing customized forming and lightweighting solutions.

Brief  Abstract of the Presentation
1. Core Technology: TPI Semi-Solid Thixotropic Casting – Flexible Mg/Al Switch Cold chamber die casting machine with TPI module enables flexible switching between Mg and Al. Semi-solid thixotropic slurry + high-pressure die casting ensures low temp, low porosity, excellent mechanics. Fully enclosed, no protective gas, safe & green. High injection pressure suits complex, thin-wall, large parts.
2. Full Series: TPI+EM Dual Platform
TPI series ultra-large for NEV structural parts; EM series 160T-2800T full range for 3C & auto components. Intelligent control, energy-saving, stable, short cycle.
3. Customer Value: Further Lightweighting
From material innovation to process optimization, LK Mg solutions cut costs, boost efficiency, enabling Mg mass adoption in NEV and 3C.

CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2026
LK Group will exhibit at Asia's largest specialized die-casting and non-ferrous exhibition—CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2026 (Shanghai New International Expo Center, Halls N1-N4) from July 15-17, 2026, at Booth N4A32 (Magnesium Alloy Casting Zone). Under the theme "Twin Engines: Al & Mg, A Lightweight Future", this edition is expected to span 49,200 square meters, feature 600+ exhibitors, and attract 28,000 professional visitors.

The previous edition of CHINA DIECASTING attracted 585 renowned exhibitor brands and 24,832 professional visitors for business exchanges. Among them, over a hundred enterprises representing the magnesium alloy industry chain were present, including LK, Waffer, KaShui, EON, Baowu Magnesium, JSW, Yizumi, Haitian, Frech, and BOLE. The exhibition comprehensively covered mainstream magnesium alloy casting processes, such as high-pressure die casting and rheocasting, as well as the entire industrial chain from raw materials, equipment, and molds to foundries, making it one of the most attention-grabbing highlights on site.
